Dissolution of SD ODnet

Change font size:

ODNet members and friends,

Despite our best efforts to keep the network functioning, we are about to be short five board members and as a 501-C3 we will be out of compliance with the State of California. While it saddens us that San Diego can’t support a fully functioning OD Network we understand people don’t have the time they once did to dedicate to multiple professional organizations. In our case, being out of compliance means that we must dissolve our official 501C3 status. We have been researching the dissolution requirements and have learned that dissolution is a complex multi-month process that we intend to complete by the fall of 2016. In the meantime, we have stopped taking paid memberships and offer the reimbursement below for paid members. Reimbursements will be issued just before we file for dissolution.

Existing paid members will receive a refund of their membership fee, pro-rated as listed below.

Paid between 4/15/15 and 10/15/15

6-month refund

Paid between 10/16/15 and 4/01/16

12-month refund

We will host a final Friends of OD Mixer in June or July, that will be open to all SD ODNet members and friends. More on that to follow. At that time, the attendees can discuss ways that the OD community can continue to interact and support each other under other auspices.

Paid members who would like to know details of the dissolution requirements of the state of California are welcome to contact Jason Martin at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Jason is travelling extensively so please be patient.
